All time in UTC
===== ASIA =====
BANGLADESH
4750, Bangladesh Betar, 1409, Nov. 3. With new extended schedule.
In assume Bengali; 1432 starts news in English; their time was
two minutes late; TC: "9:30"; local and sports news (Bangladesh
won their cricket match with Zimbabwe for the 4th ODI match
held in Bangladesh, etc.); announcer with slight British accent;
1443-1446 "News Commentary"; back to Bengali and usual
series of speeches; 1502 time pips and ID; 1506 program of
subcontinent songs; also noted this music segment on Nov. 2.
Mixing with CNR-1; the level of QRM varies greatly from day
to day.  Nov. 4. they had no music segment; instead had a
dramatization.

CHINA
4940, Voice of Strait (presumed), randomly from 1347 to 1513,
Nov. 6. Last heard here in late March; ex: 9505; interestingly
the two other VOS frequencies did not start up today on 4900
nor on 5050; perhaps they will begin in the next few days. I never
had any decent VOS reception on their higher frequencies (6115,
7280 and 9505), so I am very pleased to have a chance again to
attempt to hear their "Focus on China" Sunday program in English
that starts at 1500, on 4940.
[Howard]

INDIA
5040, AIR Jeypore, 1327-1427, Oct 31 & Nov. 2. Live coverage
of the ODI (One Day International) cricket matchs between
India and Australia; frequent single advertisements; at 1345
news in Hindi, then back to the matchs; alternating coverage in
Hindi and English; cricket coverage // 4880 and 5010.
[Howard]
6155, AIR Bengaluru, 0047-0125, Nov. 4. Now via this site, with
500 kW (ex: Delhi 250 kW). Significantly better reception!
In assume Urdu; per the updated information from Jose Jacob
< http://alokeshgupta.googlepages.com/freq.htm >. This probably
will effectively block my reception of Radio Fides (Bolivia) on
6155.20, with a scheduled sign off of 0200.
[Howard]
9425, AIR Bengaluru, 1435-1501, Nov. 2 (Monday). National
Channel ID; "Vividha" program in English; totally devoted to
the teachings and biography of Guru Nanak, whose birthday
was being celebrated today. I find these shows that provide
information about the many facets of today's Indian society
to be fascinating!
[Howard]

IRRS had a technical problem!

Today the IRRS had a technical problem with there digital audio link to
the station and one other problem in the studio in Milano.
One of the RAID disks failed in Milano, the system did not recover on time,
so Radio Joysticks audio file was skipped and a backup was played instead.
Two problems at the same time!

A repeat of Radio Joystick's programme will take place next Saturday
on November the 14th from 0900 to 1000 utc on 9510 khz.
